Panel "Privacy in Entertainment" at Eurosonic Noorderslag
The International Association of Entertainment Lawyers (IAEL) and Höcker present the legal panel “Privacy in Entertainment” at Eurosonic Noorderslag on Thursday 18 January. The panel will be moderated by Peter Marx (MVVP, BE) and participants are Götz Schneider-Rothaar (Fuhrmann Wallenfels, GE), Ruben Brouwer (CEO of Mojo Concerts – a Live Nation subsidiary) and Marijn Kingma (Höcker).
If you've got nothing to hide, you've got nothing to fear. Or do you?
In the age of big data, terrorism, internet paparazzi and #metoo, privacy is becoming an increasingly important factor in the entertainment industry. In May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will bring important changes to EU data protection law, which will impact businesses, large and small. Our panel of legal experts will discuss privacy issues that affect the entertainment industry such as the screening of visitors to a festival (the Tomorrowland case), privacy of artists and what concert organizers, artist management companies and other businesses should do before May to be GDPR compliant.
More information about the panel can be found here, tickets for the conference can be bought here.
