The International Association of Entertainment Lawyers at the Reeperbahn festival
The International Association of Entertainment Lawyers (IAEL) will present a panel at this year’s Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg Germany on September 20 at 3:45 p.m.
This panel, “That’s Entertainment Law–Data Protection and Privacy,” will feature Peter Marx, Wolf-D Schoepe and Götz Schneider-Rothaar and Höcker’s Marijn Kingma as panelists. The panel discusses privacy and data protection in the entertainment industry:
“In the age of social media, internet paparazzi, big data and terrorism, the protection of privacy and data are becoming increasingly important factors, also in the entertainment industry. With a focus on the marketing and distribution of content and the entertainment industry, in general, our panel of legal experts will discuss the latest privacy and data protection issues. With the opening presentation “Privacy in the entertainment business” the term privacy will be defined and it will be discussed, how privacy e.g. in the press or on social platforms can be preserved from any unlawful intrusion. In addition, the panel will reflect the legal framework for shooting and use of photographs in compliance with data protection laws.”
More information about the panel can be found here: https://www.reeperbahnfestival.com/de/konferenz/thats-entertainment-law. The panel will be followed by an IAEL reception at 5 pm at the Arcotel Onyx (the main delegate meeting point).
